Workshop Breakout, Room 2, 11.05am – 12.05pm

Indigenous‑led gut health grounded in kaupapa Māori, microbiome science, and the living ecology of the puku. We help whānau reconnect to their hauora through personalised assessments, rongoā‑based care, maramataka rhythms, and evidence‑informed gut health support.

The GutLab Aotearoa is an Indigenous‑led gut health clinic that blends kaupapa Māori, microbiome science, and rongoā‑based practice to support whole‑of‑whānau wellbeing. We centre the puku as an ecosystem shaped by whakapapa, whenua, kai, and daily rhythms of oranga. Our mahi uplifts hauora through culturally grounded, mana‑enhancing care.

Our approach honours atua, taiao, and the relational ecology of the body, reconnecting people to their health in ways that are ancestral, scientific, and deeply human.

We weave together:

  • whakapapa‑based healing
  • maramataka rhythms
  • rongoā Māori
  • microbiome science
  • nutrition and lifestyle ecology
  • trauma‑informed, mana‑enhancing practice

Our philosophy is simple:the puku is a living ecosystem, and when we care for it with cultural integrity and scientific clarity, the whole body, mind, and wairua thrive.
